July 17th - Something old, something new, nothing borrowed, nothing blue

Follow me into the wayback machine to a time some may remember as 1998. The first thing anyone remembers about 1998, of course, is the short lived MTV comedy Sifl and Olly that played after 1 O clock and was canceled after 2 seasons.

Coincidentally Sifl and Olly was also one of the funniest shows to appear on MTV and was probably canceled to make room for more Real World/Road Rules faceoff marathons. The point of all of this is that every episode there would be a sketch where the main characters -- Sifl and Olly of course -- would hawk cheap products distributed by a senile old man named Precious Roy to "pay for their show". Without further intro is the audio for their sales pitch of the Chicken Flavored Air Conditioner.

Also, to follow with the theme of the update, we're on to something new. It's been a while since we did our last funny picture update. Truthfully, it's been a very long while considering we've never done one before. So, without further ado, the funny picture of the day. We're not gonna go through the hassle of watermarking the pic, but please don't steal this pic for your site unless you tell people where you got it from.

On the weirder side of weird news, 70+ year old former astronaut Buzz Aldrin PUNCHED a popular conspiracy theorist in the face for messing with him. Another reason, other than going to the moon, why Buzz Aldrin rules. Even better, a video of the of the event is there too.

What happened to all that futuristic stuff which was supposed to change our lives by the year 2000? This website showcases all of the cool things that the future was supposed to have but never panned out. I want my jetpack and rocket car! This site isn't so much funny as it is informative.

Personally I love this short film, but I guess a lot of people don't get it. You'll probably love it, but don't be surprissed if you don't like it.

Short Film: Black People Hate Me and They Hate My Glasses

Short film. Long title. A waiter on a cigarette break unravels a frenetic, nonlinear tale to his fellow coworkers in an attempt to explain why black people hate his glasses. The result is a zigzagging ride down the New York City streets of the early 90's.

The forums have been temporarily (or permanently) shut down (lets just say it's on hiatus) until further notice. PhpBB is a notorious bandwidth whore, and the server can't handle it so the resources are spent. It's a difficult being a victim of success. Don't even try clicking on the forum tab up top on the navigation bar, it'll take you off into never never land.
